Horse for Sale

Santa Barbara Equestrian

Santa Barbara Stables offers professional training programs tailored to your specific riding needs, including specialized instruction for the hunter, jumper, equitation and pony divisions. Find out how we can help you reach your personal goals.

Santa Barbara Stables has numerous quality horses for sale and lease.

Contact Rebecca Atwater at: 805-967-0590 or becatwater@aol.com for more information on horses for lease and sale.

When a Santa Barbara Stable's client becomes interested in purchasing a horse, our staff will find one that is suitable for their level of experience and specific requirements.  We also negotiate horse sales.  The industry standard is 10% - 15% commission for each of these services.  We charge 10%. This is a non-negotiable fee.  Commissions help cover the cost of phone calls, analyzing the prospect for suitability, projecting the probable strengths and weaknesses facing horse and rider, negotiations, interpretations of vet exams, and most of all, commitment to the training of horse and rider on an ongoing basis.  Our Staff will schedule a meeting to help you understand how this will work in your situation.

Horses for lease are also available.  The lessee pays a portion of the horse expenses, including board, shoeing and supplements.  The cost for leasing a horse depends on the number of days, location and needs of the horse, along with the value.  A $100 administrative fee will be charged to each party when Santa Barbara Stables negotiates the lease, on a horse without a lease fee.  On horses with lease fees we charge the customary 10% of that lease fee for the duration of the lease.
